  2. Remove any mulch
  3. Till in compost 4”-6” depth and smooth out
  4. Arrange a colorful display of annuals
  5. Install plants
  6. Install a granular weed control
  7. Install a slow-release fertilizer (120-day feeding)
  8. Apply a 1” of compost or mulch to top-dress bed
  9. Cleanup site thoroughly and remove debris
